Course DescriptionThis course aims to provide theoretical and practical skills training to in-service gas installers to carry out installation of domestic gas appliances to existing and adjacent gas supply points, commissioning and servicing of domestic gas appliances. After successful completion of the course, students are qualified to register as class 4 gas installers.

The course covers : Industrial safety; Basic handling of gas escape; Characteristics of gases; Principle of combustion; Operation principle & adjustment of domestic gas control apparatus; Types of domestic gas water heater; Operation of portable gas detectors; Types & installation of domestic gas meter; Introduction of electrical supply system & water supply system; Regulations and rules; Diagnostic methods of fault finding; Repair & installation of domestic gas water heater & cooker.
